What Types of Birds lived on Ohio Prairies?
Many birds thrived on Ohio Praries, here are two examples: One bird was the Greater Prairie Chicken. It used to live on Ohio Prairies but have died out in the state of Ohio. They are gone because they took up too much land and the Asian Ring-Necked Pheasant drove them out. Turkeys are regarded as significant denizens of Ohio Prairies. They mainly lived there, for their chicks, due to the chicks needing to eat a lot of insects and being very vulnerable.
