What types of angels exist?
Many types! Angels: Every religions sacred texts mention angels. This information will provide you with a starting point. Even though angels are often classified into a hierarchy, I prefer to think of all groups of angels being important. Because angels and archangels tend to be the angels who work most closely with humans, I focus on these two groups. Angels were created to help humankind, and to be messengers. Many levels of angels help and protect us. They understand us as humans, even though they have never lived on the Earth as humans. (There are two exceptions in the Archangel category, Metatron and Sandalphon, who both lived as human prophets before they ascended).
