What types of agroforestry projects are eligible for public support and what elements of a commercial forestry project might be funded?
The landscape scale conservation (and agroforestry) target is focused on improving connectivity, management, condition and resilience of biodiversity assets such as remnant native vegetation and the environmental services they provide. Proposals are invited from groups of farmers working together to develop and implement management plans that connect native remnant vegetation or undertake revegetation activities on adjoining or unconnected properties across the district. Activities eligible for investment under the sustainable practices landscape scale conservation (and agroforestry) investment scope category include development of relevant management plans, payment of incentives for on-ground works where there is a high public benefit, preparing and distributing guidelines for planting and support for facilitators to assist with extension, technical expertise, coordination, development of management plans and on-ground activities.
