What types of activities does the Garry J. Armstrong Home support?
The Garry J. Armstrong Home was designed to support the long-term care needs of its residents, their families, and the facility’s staff. Since the Centre is the full-time home of its patients, a variety of activities are supported onsite, and are complemented by off-site visits that are arranged by the facility’s caring staff. Onsite facilities include a main kitchen with dining lounges on every floor, charming fireplaces on every floor as well as a large stone fireplace that provides a focal point for the atrium, a bar and tea room, pool table and recreational rooms, whirlpool tub and large circular balcony on each floor, a county kitchen where residents and their families can make and serve food, a network of paths around the manicured gardens and grounds, a cedar deck overlooking sunsets on the river, a library, a hairdresser and an onsite dentist.
