What types of activities can residents participate in while living at the BA?
Independent Living activities are scheduled both on and off campus. Activities on campus include occasional hymn sings and testimony meetings in the Chapel and weekly Sunday evening broadcasts of The Mother Church Sunday morning service, live chats broadcast from spirituality.com, monthly “Conversations in Literature,” a series of talks on astronomy, and a variety of other topics such as quilts and quilting, Red Sox baseball history and more. Concerts from graduate students at New England Conservatory are scheduled during the academic year, and music for listening or singing along is made available in the dining room. Movies are shown every Friday and Saturday evenings and special-subject videos are shown throughout the week. Speakers and guest artists appear here from time to time. All of these events are also open to staff and guests. Sometimes the wider BA community is also included.
