What Types of 3D Terrain Databases and 3D Vehicle Models Does S2Focus™ Support?
Currently the product supports OpenFlight™ and TerraPage™ terrain database formats and OpenFlight™ for 3D model representations. OpenFlight™ databases can be translated to an internal format for faster load times but is not a requirement. TerraPage™ is a format created by TerraVista™ product sold by TerreX , which supports paging of the terrain database and textures during runtime. OpenFlight™ is an open industry standard for 3D databases developed by MultiGen-Paradigm. Users can add their own terrain databases and 3D models to S2Focus™ by simply adding them to the appropriate mapping files within the product. New terrain databases can be created in OpenFlight™ or TerraPage™ from NIMA products using the S2Focus™ “Terrain Generation Option” (additional license fee required).
