What types/flavors of cake go well with cream cheese frosting?

I agree about cream cheese frosting being so good. I made a simple yellow cake but put cream cheese frosting on it for my mother’s birthday a couple weeks ago. I used orange extract instead of vanilla just to change it up. Everybody really enjoyed it. I just wish I had known what I was going to do before I baked the cake – I would have added some orange zest into the batter as well!
