What type of work requires a building permit?
All interior work involving structural, electrical and/or plumbing alterations, additions, or any work which effects the weather-tight seal of the building. A permit is also required for all exterior work including but not limited to new/replacement roofs, siding and/or windows, new/replacement driveways, fences, decks, patios, terraces, porches, walkways, trellises, arbors, outdoor fire pits or fireplaces, playground equipment, dog runs, sheds, detached garages, screened porches, swimming pools and sport courts.
