The inside and outside of each sauna is constructed of 100 % Canadian Fir. The cost of the same sauna in Cedar is 25 to 30 % more. While we carry predominately Canadian Fir, Cedar is available upon special order. Wood used in construction of our products is finished without spraying of pesticides and is not fumigated by customs or shipping officials. Fumigation with pesticides in products packaged in wood takes place in many countries before items are shipped internationally. Blackstone Saunas does NOT use any wood packing for any of our products during shipping. We receive a certificate of packing with every order stating that no wood is used in the packaging of our products.
