What type of wax does Scentsy use?
Scentsy Wickless Candles use a high quality food grade petroleum based wax, similar to what you find on apples in the grocery store. It is designed for a specific scent load and low melt point. Scentsy chose this wax because of its superior scent loading ability, melting point and firmness. Scentsy Warmers only warm the scent out of the wax, the wax remains in the warmer, thus there is no danger of chemicals being released into the air. It is also 100% nontoxic and biodegradable.
