What type of warfare emerged in World War 1 as a result of new technologies?
B could be justified to some extent because the Germans did design artillery capable of launching shells over 100 kilometers in 1918 (which they used to shell Paris), which required the use of propulsion, making it more of a proto-rocket than anything else. Hence while missile warfare wouldn’t really come about until the end of WWII, the grounds were laid for rocketry by the end of WWI. C obviously occurred during WWI, but one should bear in mind that trench warfare did not make its first appearance during WWI (it was present during the Boer Wars, the American Civil War, and a few others). It was, however, at its worst during WWI.
