The Rembrandt teeth whitening system employs a hydrogen peroxide-based bleaching gel. The company states that they include a desensitizing agent in their whitener’s formulation so to help to minimize the potential for bleaching related sensitivity. The system protocol utilize a plasma arc light unit (the Rembrandt ® Sapphire ™). This bleaching light is to be fitted with the Rembrandt ® Whitening Crystal ™ to allow patient’s both upper and lower teeth to be treated at the same time. The bleaching light of this specific wavelength 400-525nm is believed to activate the tooth whitener in order to enhance its whitening effect.
