As a midshipman, you will be required to take one Naval Science class each semester (two 2 credit classes during freshman year, and a 3 credit class each semester thereafter) and attend one 2-hour drill session each week as part of your military training. You will also have to attend two physical training sessions each week. In addition, to become a well-rounded officer, you will take standard classes (e.g. English, Military History, Calculus, and Physics). These will fit in regularly with all majors. There will also be other opportunities to volunteer in the battalion ranging from fund-raising with other midshipman to playing on NROTC IM sports teams.
