A fear of bugs is just a behaviour, any behaviour that is leaned can be unlearned. Whichever way your Psychologist chooses to change your behaviour, it WILL involve you confronting that fear. Possible options are: 1) Flooding. You’ll be locked in a room with loads of bugs until you realise they aren’t bad at all (this is rarely used). 2) Systematic desensitisation. This is where you’ll get progressively closer and closer to a bug, eventually touching it. 3) Hypnotherapy. Normally used to re-write subconscious thought processes (can take a long time and success rate not brilliant). I hope this helps.
