What type of temperments would a husky/ golden retreiver male have?
As far as his genetics go, golden retrievers tend to be relatively calm dogs, as opposed to huskies, that can be very high energy dogs. In general, he will act like the breed he most resembles physically. You didn’t say how old he is, but It’s difficult to tell at this stage what his temperament will be as an adult dog. It’s going to depend very much on YOU, and how you deal with him in his first 1-2 years of life. If you socialize him by exposing him to all different kinds of people, dogs, and situations, and start obedience training now, while he’s young, he will be a much more well-adjusted, well-mannered dog. Also, getting him neutered by the time he’s 4-6 months old will make him much easier to work with. He will also be much calmer if he gets adequate exercise. On the other hand, if you don’t socialize and train while he’s young, it will be much more difficult to do as he gets older.
