What type of telephone service is acceptable?
We require CCPs to use a Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) that uses copper wire to the home. Alpine Access does not allow CCPs to use VoIP telephone service that transports calls over any public network as it has potential quality and security issues that are not encountered with POTS. Cable services that are delivered to the home without accessing a public network are acceptable.
