What type of supervisory or administrative experience is required for certification?
Individuals with a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university must have at least 4 years experience in the human service field with at least 3 years in supervisory or administrative capacity. Individuals with a masters or doctoral degree from an accredited university must have at least 2 years experience in a human service field with at least 1 year experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity. Supervisory or administrative experience must be completed within the last ten years and meet the requirements specified in COMAR 14.31.06.03B(6) as social work, psychology, professional counseling, nursing, education, addictions, or serving developmental disabled children.
