What type of software does DEAMS use? COTS or custom developed?
The DEAMS Program Management Office in June 2005 selected Oracle Federal Financials as the Commercial-Off-The-Shelf software. The Functional Management Office, in coordination with the Systems Integrator, Accenture, is configuring that software to provide the desired functionality for DEAMS. • I have heard that DEAMS will only handle contracts in IAPS and not Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) contracts. When will the requirements for RDT&E funds be developed? DEAMS will handle RDT&E funds in Increment 1. However, before fielding the system outside of AMC, additional requirements development will be initiated to support Increment 2. Any additional RDT&E requirements can be documented during Increment 2 requirements development. DEAMS will be designed and implemented to account for all types of contracts, not just those currently paid through IAPS.
