What type of server does SET shopping cart run on and how is it hooked to the Internet?
SET Shopping cart is now running on a super fast Xeon Server with a 500 MHz Pentium III processor, 512MB memory, and 10,020 rpm IBM Ultrastar 9LZX Ultra2 SCSI disk drives. It is hooked to the web through redundant DS3 connections. You should realize that this is NOT a multi-user rental machine where the cart competes with other people’s web pages for CPU cycles. It runs on it’s own hardware, and spends most of its time waiting around for YOUR customer to supply with the details in their cart, and then responds very quickly.
