What type of resonators and mufflers are used in the NEUSPEED exhaust systems?
There are several different ways to control exhaust noise while improving exhaust flow and reducing backpressure. NEUSPEED exhaust systems typically feature “absorption” mufflers and resonators. Inside of our absorption-type mufflers and resonator, a perforated tube (or 2-3 perforated tubes lined up side-by-side) carry the exhaust gas through the muffler. The tube(s) are wrapped with a stainless steel weave material, and then a thick blanket of fiberglass weave surrounds the stainless. These layers of stainless and fiberglass absorb the noise and heat generated by exhaust gases moving through the system. As a result, we do not need to incorporate any flow-reducing S-shaped bends or deflectors inside the muffler that might rob horsepower from your engine. Exhaust tubing also affects the tone and the overall level of exhaust noise. The wall thickness of our stainless tubing and overall diameter are all carefully selected to balance the noise level and the tone of the exhaust without sacr
