What type of refrigerant is in 1993 chrysler air conditioner?
If original it’s R12 You will find a sticker somewhere under the hood stating what type it is. Also the high and low side fittings will be color coded on R134A blue for low side and red for high side.. But good luck getting it fixed for under $150. Most places will charge you that just in labor alone. If converting it expect to get at least a $1000 bill, First the original failure has to be addressed, then the conversion parts have to be installed, this may or may not include all the rubber hoses and all o-rings and gaskets, a receiver/ dryer, flushing the system and new lube oil, R134A refrigerant, and maybe even a new compressor. The system has to be able to hold in the new refrigerant for the repair shop to legally do the conversion (according to Federal law).
