What type of printer is best value for fast, high volume, good quality document printing?
Laser printers offer high quality smudge-free printing (especially text) and are superior to Inkjets in terms of speed; pages per minute (ppm) are usually double the Inkjet at 20-30 ppm. Lasers are easily more efficient on a cost per page basis. The purchase price of mono lasers is more reasonable these days but colour laser printers are still expensive compared to Inkjets.
