What type of poetry did Maya Angelou write?
Maya angelou often writes about herself and her experiences but she also writes about African Americans and about freedom and slavery. Her poems are often short and meaningful while others are long and lyrical. They rhyme and flow very well. She also has published books and wrote and ignaguration poem for bill clinton. One of her first poems that got her notices was called “I know why the caged bird sings” which was written about slavery and other things tied into that. One of her other good ones is called still I rise, and alone, and phenominal woman.
