What type of permit is required to sell food at a temporary event?
If the operator is going to operate in the state six calendar days or less, a Kansas Food Service License is not required. However, operators must comply with the provisions of the Kansas Food Code to ensure food safety for consumers. If the facility operates for seven or more calendar days within in the state, a food service license is required. There is no separate state license for a ‘temporary event.
