What type of people can become professional gamblers?
First of all you need to be able to make rational decisions and not let your emotions take over your betting decisions. Every sports bettor and poker player will hit extremely bad runs during which it seems like nothing works out. If during those times you go on so called tilt (=playing badly and doing bad sports bets) you will sooner or later go broke. Thus it is very important that you can look all the situations and results analytically and objectively. It is the only mindset which will allow you to make steady income from gambling. And when I say steady I mean steady for gambling, gambling isn’t 9-5 job in which you are guaranteed to be paid and in which you almost always earn the same amount. In gambling your daily, weekly and monthly results will have huge difference. For an example you will be hard pressed to find a pro sports bettor who hasn’t had a losing month. For average person knowing that they have worked hard all month and are then not getting paid is simply unbearable.
