What type of on-site security does The Retreat provide?
The Retreat is a gated community with video-recorded surveillance and on-site management. In addition, the cottages are wired for alarm systems with additional monitoring service available upon request and at the resident’s cost. For our tenants’ convenience, The Retreat also issues electronic key fobs to each resident, which allow for a keying system similar to a hotel’s in which each resident has one key that can be used to access his or her cottage as well as community amenities like the clubhouse and pool. This system allows residents to enjoy The Retreat amenities 24 hours a day. Maintenance persons are given keys that are programmed to work only during certain hours, ensuring that no one other than the residents has after-hours access to the cottages, and preventing the keys from being copied. Management can also check the time log to confirm that repairs were completed during the allotted time with the keys.
