What type of notary seal is required?
A- The law allows you to use either a rubber stamp or a metal embosser. Either seal must include the words, “Notary Public, State of Texas” around a star of five points, your commission name, and your expiration date. The seal must conform to a certain size and shape, and must reproduce legibly when photocopied. When using an embosser, you must darken the raised lettering. This can be done with an impression inker or carbon paper, so that it can be easily photocopied. Notary Public Underwriters offers either seal in several styles, all of which comply with Texas law. If you frequently notarize out-of-state or international documents, you may wish to use the rubber stamp seal for its clarity and the embosser, which is readily accepted as the notary standard around the world.
A- The official seal for Florida notaries is the rubber stamp seal. The seal must contain four elements: the words, “Notary Public-State of Florida,” your exact commission name, your notary commission number, and the expiration date of your commission. The seal must be affixed with black ink that is photographically reproducible.
