Known for their experimental artsy music, Animal Collective will be teaming up with visual artist Danny Perez to transform New York City’s Guggenheim Museum into a jungle. Celebrating the museum’s 50th anniversary, the Baltimore-based band and Perez will present ‘Transverse Temporal Gyrus’ on March 4. Guests will be able to explore the spiral museum and enjoy music Animal Collective composed specifically for the project as well as “video projections, costumes and props, rendering the band members and performers into intense, visual abstractions,” according to the press release.
