Every state and city has different laws. Where I live in Michigan they are not legal to have as pets. So first chaeck your city laws. Next call around to pet stores that sell exotic animals. One thing you have to make sure of is how serious it is to care for a monkey. It is not like going and getting a pet dog or a cat. The care of them is like that of a real child. You have to have a room big enough to have a very large cage and they need 24/7 care. I would definitely find someone that has a monkey and speak to them about what it takes to raise one.
