What type of Mentoring Program is available?
When health-systems seek pharmacists for leadership positions within their systems, they often overlook in-house pharmacists, who are eager and talented, but lack specialized training. PHS Mentoring Program will develop these employees through didactic and experiential training. By thorough training and learning from our experienced mentors, the pharmacist develops competency in administrative and management skills items never fully discussed in pharmacy schools. Our Mentoring Service consists of an on-site assessment of the pharmacist, development of an education plan, provision of one or more of the PHS 16 proprietary Mentor Modules and on-line testing. More importantly, our Mentors are in frequent contact with the pharmacist to provide answers to course issues as well as to provide a real pharmacy leadership vision. Modules are deployed in real time to meet current pharmacy needs. For example, the module on budgeting would be covered during the health-systems budget cycle. Through t
