What type of mental disorders entail the person not taking social cues?

That sort of behavior results from Autism Spectrum Disorders. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autism_spectrum Autism is not like pregnancy. People can have autistic tendencies in small amounts (many women would call this “being a guy”…;-D…) or large amounts. I once had a neighbor who was basically an invalid because of his extreme autism. Conversely, your humble author has real difficulty picking up non-verbal body and facial language cues, but I ***can*** do it if I focus and/or the cues are less-than-subtle. I hope you can convince the person in question to acknowledge his condition and work on improving his social interaction skills.
