DVR system uses computer hard drive as the recording medium and all video information are compressed into Wavelet or MPEG4 format. The storage of the video is based on first in and first out. This basically mean that when the hard drive is full, the system will automatically go to the begin of the drive and record over the old video. User no longer require to change any medium and system will continuously record without any interruption.
