What type of medical problems do rescue dogs usually have?
A. It varies from a very healthy dog to one that has many health concerns. CPR will evaluate and do everything medically necessary to make the Pug as comfortable as possible so it may lead a near normal life. This may involve surgery for an elongated palate, stenotic nares and luxating patellas. Q. Do I have to pay for the medical care on a dog that had surgery? A. NO. CPR does not charge any more for that dog. We cover all of our expenses through adoption fees, merchandise sales, fundraising events, and private donations. Q. I want to adopt a pug. Can you tell me what you have available so I can see it and then put in an application? A. NO. The pugs that are relinquished to CPR are evaluated at our foster homes.
