What type of measures does Floyd Medical Center use to ensure my babys safety?

We take several measures to ensure the safety of your newborn. We carefully place armbands on the mom, dad and baby, which have the same identification number. The nurse will check the armbands to make sure they all match when he/she brings you your baby. Your baby will have a special security sensor that will alarm if the baby is taken too close to an outside doorway or elevator. All of the staff caring for you and your baby will have a Floyd photo identification badge. If you see anyone who does not have a Floyd photo identification badge in your room, please alert your nurse at once by using the call button. You have the right to ask for proper identification before giving your baby to anyone not wearing a Floyd photo identification badge.
