What type of material do recommend as a base under a concrete slab?
We recommend that you use a highly compactable material such as Class 2 Base Rock. Our Class 2 Base Rock is a recycled product that compacts very well and provides a solid foundation for your concrete. For walkways, patios or sidewalks a depth of 4″ is recommended, for driveways a depth of 8″ or more is recommended.
