Only the females produce the smokable bud. Kill all the males otherwise you will end up with a lower THC content and seeds in your bud. The goal is to have female plants sinsemilla, which means without seed. You don’t want the boys to pollinate your girls, keep them virgins. If you are cloning, you will have to flower a clone to determinee whether the mother plant is a boy or girl. If you are growing from seed and not cloning, make sure your plants are growing alone in different places until you can determin the sex of the plant. If your females are without seed they will produce more resin while they are flowering in an attempt to attract male pollen. With no males around the girls will continue to produce more and more resin, this means your girls will have more THC.
