Directional Enforcers are virtually maintenance free. However, since the units are largely hollow, it is important to provide adequate drainage so that debris cannot build up inside the unit and impede the movement of the spikes. If this rule is observed, the unit will function as intended. Only an occasional replacement spring may be needed depending on the wear and tear on the unit.
