What type of lures work best behind the Dees fishing flasher?
The fishing flasher was originally designed to use while trolling for fish with Cut-Plug Baits. However, it has proven equally compatible with all types of hard and soft baits and lures. Some examples are the Apex, Coyote, Rapala, Kwik-Fish (see note at the end), Rooster-tails, Bang-tails, Blue Foxes, Hoochies, Tuna Jigs and the like. Soft baits include Herring (Alewives), Anchovies, Sardines, Smelt (Grunion), Shad and Roe. There really is no limit to what you can pull behind them. IF YOU TROLL IT, YOU CAN TROLL IT BEHIND A DEE’S! Note: The K-15 and 16 size Kwik-Fish and their clones will pull the flasher under between six-eight feet in moving water. For back trolling applications in shallower water you should not need any additional weight.
