What type of local transportation is available in Charleston?
A listing of trolley and bus routes will be in the check-in packet. Taxis can be hailed by the doorman at the King Street entrance to the Francis Marion Hotel, or you can hail a taxi throughout the city. Rickshaws are also prevalent in the historic district of Charleston. Bicycle rentals are available through the hotel concierge. Parking in the historic area is very limited, particularly in the evening. Garages and lots are indicated on the map in your registration packet and there are limited on-street parking meters. Many restaurants offer valet parking.
