What type of injuries or illnesses should be reported to NISD Risk Management?
Any injury or illness, no matter how minor, should be reported as soon as the employee notifies their supervisor an on the job injury has occurred. Supervisors should also be cognizant that when an employee relates, what may appear to be an unrelated condition or illness to the workplace, (cite or function), that this too, constitutes notice of injury to the District, and inasmuch should prompt the filing of a First Report of Injury.
