What type of information is available in the BCH?
The information available in the BCH is comprised of the information required under Article 20 of the Protocol as well as categories of information specifically requested by the Parties in their periodic meetings. At a minimum, the BCH has a role in providing access to information listed in its Modalities of Operation. The information currently available is organized into National Records and Reference Records as follows: • National Records (submitted by National Focal Points): • National Contacts: Cartagena Protocol (CPB-NFP); Contact point for unintentional transboundary movements and emergency measures (Art. 17); Biosafety Clearing-House (BCH-NFP). • National biosafety websites or databases • Competent national authorities (Art. 19.2) • Biosafety Laws, Regulations, Guidelines & Regional and International Agreements • Country’s Decisions or any other Communications • Risk Assessments generated by a regulatory process • Biosafety Experts • Reports on Biosafety Expert Assignment Note:
