What type of hat should businessmen wear today?
Much is going to depend upon your head shape and size. There are a variety of sort of sub styles under the fedora classification. Some have a tall crown and wide brim, others are shorter with a narrow brim. Some are elongated, others are rounded. All fall under the Fedora style and all are appropriate for business men. You can look into a traditional fedora, derby (or bowler), pork pie, snap brim, or Homburg. Which you choose will depend upon which looks best. I’m not a fan of the pork pie for professionalism, but some men can make it work. Check out this site and look at the styles I listed above. Hats in the Belfry If you can afford it, opt for a fur felt hat. These are naturally water repellent and warm. You can wear them in rain or snow and the hat won’t be damaged. Next level would be a wool felt which will offer some protection in light rain without damage to the hat
