What type of goverment is generally attached to communism and why?
China nor Russia where ever communist. Lenin was never able to get Russia passed the state capitalism stage. After Stalin became a dictator and seized power the idea of communism was abandoned. Btw more people died under the Czars than Stalin. Not defending him, just putting things into perspective. According to Marx, A REAL COMMUNIST ECONOMY consists of local or communal democratic planning. There is no govt. form today that can describe it. The only reason so many people are ignorant about it is because it is a “threat” to the rich and powerful and challenges their way of life of exploiting the huddled masses under their control. The most hopeless slaves are the ones under the illusion that they are free, like some of the naive answers on here. Most people only re-iterate propaganda feed to them.
