What type of gears are in a ice cream scoop and whiteout?

I’m guessing you’re studying simple machines. Whiteout does not have any gears, unless the screw threads on the bottle cap and neck count. But that’s a screw, not a gear. In an ice cream scoop, if it’s the kind that you squeeze to push the ice cream out, then there is a gear that moves the little scraping arm when you squeeze the handle. An ice cream scoop that does not have this feature has no gears. A manual can opener has a couple of gears that turn the blades on the inside that cut and turn the can when you turn the little handle on the outside. An automatic can opener has several gears inside it that do the same thing. A can opener that just punches a hole in the top of the can has no gears. You should make sure you understand what a gear is and how it works before your test.
