What type of gate latch is used?

The gate is stopped at the fence post with the gate stop plate. There is no “latch”, the opener arm holds the gate securely in place and it can not be pushed open by hand. For additional security you may purchase a Zareba Automatic Gate Lock (GL1) that will secure the gate in the closed position.
