What type of future attractions are planned?
A 24-sport training complex will be built on 50 acres in the Waterford Business Center at Powhite Parkway and state Route 288. The complex is to be developed in phases. The first will include an ice rink, aquatics center, cycling center, sports medicine clinic, fitness center and family entertainment center. A 6,000-seat arena would be added later with a hotel, retail plaza, tennis facilities and a field house. The SportsQuest facility will be used to host Olympic trials and national and international championships. Olympic contenders in multiple sports will train on the campus and reside there.
