We are already using natural Uranium with 0.7% of U235 in the Oxide form and the fabrication of the fuel has been done within the country right from purification of ore, pelletising of Uranium powder, making of pencils with pellets in Zirconium tubes and assembly of fuel bundles all under one roof in Nuclear Fuel Complex at Hyderabad. A.P. The fabrication processes have also undergone improvements over the years and we are in position to fabricate the best fuel. We have not faced any problem in fabrication of fuel bundles.
