What type of fracture can be treated with The Boxers Splint?
The Boxers Splint was designed to treat acute and subacute fractures of the neck and shaft of the 4th and 5th metacarpals In the acute setting it works best on non-displaced and minimally displaced fractures. In the subacute setting it works great on those fractures that required immediate reduction and splinting then two to three weeks later need continued immobilization for final healing. The brace can also be customized by heating it with a hair dryer at this point for better conformability if needed.
