What type of fighting is there in Kickboxing?
There are several different types of sparring/Competition Kickboxing styles. The main 3 are: Points: One of the earliest forms of sparring. When a strike is landed on a target the fight is stopped and the point is awarded. The fight then commences again. The winner is the fighter who has scored the most points. Very fast type of sparring. Continuous: This is based upon a continuation of point scoring. The fight is not stopped when points are scored but all the points are added up throughout the match. The fighter to score the most amount of points and control the fight wins. At amateur level fighters are not allowed to purposefully injure each other. Knock out: Very similar to Continuous Kickboxing except that a fighter can also win by stoppage or knockout. There are generally more rounds per fight and if the fight goes the distance then the winner is the person with the most points.
