What type of feelings do women have when going through a miscarriage?
Women going through a miscarriage have a wide range of feelings and emotions. It is important to know that there is no right or wrong way to feel about a miscarriage and that it is common to feel afraid and anxious. Your feelings may also be affected by whether your pregnancy was wanted or unwanted. In the case of an unwanted pregnancy, you may feel relief. If the pregnancy was something you wanted, you may have feelings of guilt (“Did I do something wrong?”), loss, grief or anger. You might find it helpful to talk to a counselor, partner, friend or health-care provider about your feelings.
